A big part of what I enjoy about the challenges, besides trying to develop a concept and shoot it; is to shoot it and explain the thought behind it.
In most cases I would do this at the end of the challenge. But because I leave on business tomorrow for two weeks, I thought I'd share it now.

*as a sidenote, I truly hope to be able to find time to keep with my personal goal of commentary on all submissions. I may not be able to do it for this challenge.

Morning,
I gotta say I like this.
THe shadow is fantastic and it's a great idea, emerging from the shadows.
The only nit, is that for "emerging from her shadow" I thought maybe she'd look more, happy, or as you said confident--not necessarily the obligatory smiley face (actually the smiley one probably wouldn't work either), but she kind of looks solemn, which doesn't go with emerging from the shadows.
Maybe if she was confidently staring you in the eye .
IT is an awesome idea.
It does take some serious guts to get a mohawk btw--good for her!
I like the color too. Love that she was willing to pose for you.
EDIT: If you must leave before any reshooting, I'd say enter it--the idea is just too good to pass up.

Thanks Liz!
That was my intent. This was the first one on the card that jumped out at me because it accented the hair in the shadow. I have a couple others on the card that I also like, and hope to find time on the road to work on a couple of them. Thanks for the nice words.
