35mm equivalent focal lengths

In the SmugMug photo information popup, focal length is often reported with a 35mm-normalized equivalent, like "Focal length: 50mm (80mm in 35mm)". Lately, I've been uploading a number of pictures scanned from film, where the only EXIF data is what I decide to add myself, including my name and copyright, the name of the camera and lens, the focal length, and aperture (I usually can't remember shutter speed). I have noticed that SmugMug does not display 35mm equivalent focal lengths for these; it just reports the focal length without comment.
I'm curious whether there is anything in the EXIF data that SmugMug uses to determine the 35mm-equivalent focal length, or is there a table in the SmugMug database that maps from camera models to crop factors? If the latter, does SmugMug have any interest in adding old cameras to the database so that they will display the normalized focal length?
(Btw, no, not all of my cameras are 35mm. My latest acquisition is a 6x7 medium-format camera. It's not a big deal to me to see its focal lengths displayed along with the 35mm-equivalent value, but it would be a small nice thing to have if it's not difficult to do.)
On the subject of the photo information popup, though, another thing that would be nice is if it displayed the artist and copyright fields. Currently it doesn't as far as I've seen.
