Great weather, good guys and a classic volcano. Even though this has been one of the worst junes we've ever had there is still mountain :lust to be had. You just have to not believe the "mostly cloudy with a chance of rain," forecast. What they mean is "Mostly Sunny!" Ha, at least some of the time :thumb

Our spring here has been cold and wet. There is still a ton of snow lingering in the mountains....but I'm alright with that, but even this skier needs to put the skis away and go do something else. Ha. Hard to do when there's so much snow though.

Ah...love being in the action. With steep snow (50 degrees on the face of which a few images I put up here are on and yes...photos never give the steepness justice!), you have to trust the people you're skiing with a lot. One misstep on their part and it is 2000 feet to the bottom. It's like combat sort of. Chunks of ice and rock are flying and I'm balancing a few feet forward or backward to avoid those while trying to shoot the target. It's a bummer when I miss cause I only get a few tries since it is unwise to dillydally beneath ice cliffs, seracs and chossy volcanic cliffs all baking in the sun.

Another good Tharhawk set! Really love the perspective on the second to last shot, looks like I'm about to go flying down the mountain :D
