    Peach Faced Love Birds
It's a peach faced love bird. Apparently they escape from there owners and adapt well in the desert.

Nice shots again, Dan. Escaped parrots and their variations have done pretty well in the warmer climes of the US and even up to San Francisco. Interesting video available entitled "The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill" about the SF flock.

There's also a large flock of Amazon parrots in Pasadena, CA.

Looks like a lorikeet to me. It must have escaped from somewhere. Good captures.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

They are peach faced lovebirds from Africa that have escaped. They are mating and surviving throughout AZ.wings.gifbarb

Here in so cal we have I think 4 breeds [parrots & parakeets] that are live here now but this one I have not seen. I go along with your ID tho.The story goes that years ago in Pasadena a pet store had a fire and they let the birds go and now the red-crowned and lilac-crowned live and breed together

Very pretty bird! Good set Dan clap.gif The lorikeets we have here in Aus that have been released/escaped (Rainbow lorikeets that I often post pictures of) have totally displaced the local varieties. Similar thing happening there?
