#2 is v nice, clean, good colors - has narrative, too!:D
Focus stacking would have taken it to the next level.

Hmm, I really don't think focus stacking is needed here. The shallow focus really draws attention to the eyes and lets the surroundings blur out nicely.
i tried stacking before
my skills dont allow me to take three exact the same pics
remember these spiders are only 6 to 8 mm long
then i prefere fooling around w aperture
