Went out this morning to shoot the solstice sunrise.
The sunrise itself was disappointing but did manage to catch the buddhist temple greeting the sunrise, there were some visiting monks this time as it was the Pagoda's anniversary on Sunday.
C&C always appreciated.

#1 At the Pagoda

Thanks Art, I loved the look on the monks faces' when they saw the pagans - priceless.
The Peace Pagoda here was the first in the western hemisphere and just celebrated its 30 anniversary.

Fun storytelling set with a superb ending! They had such serene looks on their faces until #4. Love #8 as I assume the "Pagans" are adopting the monks culture of bowing to return the respect being shown to them.

All very polite & peaceful as you would expect but I did half expect them to start singing and was hearing the Jet Song running through my head the whole time.

Yes the pagans bowed them round the stone circle before returning to their own celebration. The monks go from the temple one way & back another so they couldn't see the pagans until #4. This is one of the very few times I've seen the monks register anything other than their trademark serenity.
