Fantastic. That one should be on a calendar at the very least. Preferably somewhere longer lasting.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

A successful whale watch indeed then... I know they (the cruise people) keep an eye on where the whales are to guarantee a sighting, but they probably can't make them jump up on cue!
What kind of whale? :

That is a beautiful shot Ed, I bet that smile is still on your face hu
Right place, right time for you thats for sure.........animals are so unpredictable, but when you do manage to capture a great shot, it seems to be forever a great shot, no matter how old it gets doesn't it.

Animals are one of the most challenging things to shoot, so many things have to go right and then you still have a chance to blow it completely...:D

Great action. Only the tough lighting keeps this one from being right up there with your National Geographic quality "Jumping Coyote"
OK, now for the important data. You guys went whale watching. Did ya go from Moss Landing? If so, did ya stop at Phil's? :eat
