You had two difficulties here, bad light and a subject that ain't too interesting. The first capture had the best possibilities but its underexposed. The last is over exposed. It would help to "chimp" a bit and check out the in-camera histogram. You did ok with very, vert difficult shooting conditions.

Thank you for the tips, I'm still learning to use the histogram.
Keep at it. It took me awhile before I got used to it. Its a tool you want to use especially in difficult lighting.
