Congrats on the new gear Gary. thumb.gif

Good set of pics but some seem to be over processed, especially #3.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Looking forward to your updated impressions of the new 1D IV, and some more pics. I am considering this camera.

Too much noise reduction? They look (except for #4) smudgy to me. With that combo I would expect much more detail.

Hey Ric, how would you compare your 1D MII N to your 7D?

A little faster af and frame rate. Not nearly enough reach or crop ability when compared to the 7D.

Simply put if you can get close enough get the pro body....that has not been my experience though.

AND...not really worth the cost unless your making money with it or money isn't an issue.. If you want to spend 5 grand, I'll sell you my 400 DO IS!:D

Jody Melanson sure makes good use of his MII N.

I've been looking at the 1D M IV, but I think you are right, and I will keep using my 7D. I've also been looking at the 500 f/4, but I am too lazy to carry around such a monster.

He sure does. Without knowing...I'll say he goes through pains and expense that I won't.

I love mine...but I ain't lugging a 500 or larger around and I ain't sittting in a blind for hours on end. I'm a lazy dude.rolleyes1.gifMy blind has 4 wheel drive and AC and heated seats!!!

I DO understand your desire for the MK4 though, Dan.mwink.gif
