The third and last captures are outstanding Ira. clap.gif

Its amazing how the normally dull cattle egret gets really colorful during mating season.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thank you, Harry. What gets me is that they are so hard to approach to photograph. The slightest movement and they take flight.... but when they are around construction equipment they seem to have no fear at all as they run around and under the moving equipment to get at the insects being dug up.

Ira, very nice captures here, and you mentioned that they are so hard to approach, yes I can agree with that as last year well down that area we tried and tried and no luck in getting a single shot of them, they just fly further away from you. 3 and 5 are my picks.
