Any secret to taking photos on red flowers? The red saturates quickly:
Found this little guy, a hopper of sorts?
Would more diffusion of the flash help?

It is the purpose of life that each of us strives to become actually what he is potentially. We should be obsessed with stretching towards that goal through the world we inhabit.

Few things I do with flash shots of bugs on bright yellow or red flowers. First I shoot raw which enables you to reduce the exposure a notch or too. I nearly always drop the colour temperature to around 5600'C. Changing the picture style to neutral from standard helps and lastly reducing the saturation if all the above have failed. Don't think more diffusion will have that much effect apart from reducing blown highlights.
