It's been really active at the refuge lately. Here's some recent shots.

    Bunch of nice shots. thumb.gif

Generally, you should try to avoid centering your subject. Try to give them more room the way they are looking.

Now I realize that with wildlife shots you are going to use the center focus point more than not. Unless you are lucky enough to be too close, you'll have to do your composing via the crop.

I agree with Ric about the comp on the images. Its a good set of captures especially the deer and the eagle.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

It really helped the Sandhill shot.thumb.gif

The deer looks like the crop could have been rotated CW to level things out.

The eagle is good...maybe just a little tighter.

These are only my opinions...hopefully there will be more input.

All three are improved. 1 and 2 are just about there you would want them. I would fool around witht he eagle and see if it could stand up to a tighter crop.

The Crane was my favorite to begin with, crop just made it better. Eagle is a lot better. Seeing as I've never got that close to one, it'll do for me!
