Having a hard time with this challenge. Had the unique experience this morning of climbing a 50-foot nest and bringing down a 6 week old osprey chick to be banded by researchers studying the bird. This bird is probably 2 weeks away from fledging. Having a hard time stretching this to the theme...new bird, emerging research on saving the birds (they're GPS banded and their migration, which will average 200 miles a day from New England to Brazil and back every year)...

What do you think?

By the way, this chick is fine. Not dead. Not drugged. They "play dead" when you approach the nest. Makes it easy to do this without any struggle.
