Limit of 1000 search results...

I am building a webpage for each of the 5,000 summer vacation tourist destinations around the world, and I need to review more than 1000 photos for each destination. I create a webpage for the best 100 photos on the internet, using Panoramio, Flickr, Webshots, Picasa etc. Picasa, Flickr and SmugMug limit the searches to only a fraction of what is available. But Webshots allows a complete search, regardless of the volume. The problem is that Webshots has so much old junk that the search is usually fruitless.

Now, the SmugMug limit for single photos makes no sense. :scratch If I search for WATER, I get 17038 albums, and I can actually jump to the 17000th album simply by changing the URL. But SmugMug does not allow me to go beyond 1000 individual photos. This is killing me because I have to review every album, which takes so much more time than just looking at screen of thumbnails. And my approach is more efficient for SmugMug because there are no large picture files to load on every screen.

Another reason for searching pictures instead of albums is tags. Dorney Park has only 46 albums, but many more albums contain pictures of Dorney within other album tags or labels (like birthday, vacation, summer camp, field trip, waterpark, etc).

So, in conclusion, and to compete with Webshots (and beat Flickr and Picasa), please :bow allow the same browsing feature for pictures that you allow for albums.

    Hi SV4Kids,
I will bring this up with our Product Manager. Perhaps there is an easy way to accomplish this, that may not impact other priorities. You can also make your voice heard here
