SmugMug is rotating my photos. Grrr

SmugMug is rotating my photos when I upload them. I've spent the past SEVERAL time-crunch hours rotating my photos back to their original state after they have uploaded.

I've been at this computer SO long for this reason alone; it feels like my eye balls are going to go bungee jumping out of their sockets.:eek1

Am I missing a customizable "auto rotate" feature (joke's on me)? Or should I commence with my SmugMug hate mail?:moon

Thanks in advance.

Yes, your camera should automatically tag the photos as you take them, and we see that tag and properly present the photos to you on SmugMug. What camera do you have - there's a rotate setting in-camera?

Oh, okay. So, even if I manually rotate during editing and save it, SmugMug still recognizes how it was originally taken?
Just checked my camera (Nikon D60. Rotate Tall setting is ON....

Quality editing software will update the rotation setting in the image to match how you manually rotate it.

The D60 "rotate tall" setting has nothing to do with this issue - that is only a setting in the camera for how to display vertical images on the camera LCD - it does not affect the image or Smugmug.

The issue here is likely in the software you are using to edit your images. What software are you using?

Right on. Thank you :) I just updated my software, so that's probably it. I haven't adjusted all the settings yet. I'm using Corel Paint Shop Pro X2.

Notorious for not honoring the EXIF spec for rotation, I'm so sorry :(

Hmm... I don't know. My Software manual is saying it does depend on how the camera tags the orientation. I found another setting on my camera that says "auto image rotation: ON" . Camera manual says this setting is to record orientation. So, it's probably my software?

This has turned into a camera/software question instead of a SmugMug question. Sorry

I use PSPX2 also and after rotating a DPPraw>tif photo in PSP to portrait, saving
and uploading, Smugmug does not re-rotate. I do no rotating in camera, viewing or
otherwise so PSPX2 opens a portrait in landscape same as viewed on the
    camera screen.
