... can i make this darker?
This may be the wrong place to put this....
My auntie asked me to put together a slideshow for her wedding. She has a picture that i think would be a great picture to put at either the beginning or end. The only problem is that the really significant Text is a bit light to read.
I have PS CS4 but i'm not the best at using its features. :scratch
What would be the best way to make the txt darker?
Thanks in advance

Should be possible. I'm not an expert either but if I were to do it, I'd probably darken the image until the words are the correct darkness using the "levels" function. Then I'd use a lot of masking to bring the surrounding parts of the photo back to the normal levels. I'm sure there's an easier way somehow though... if I have some time, i'll give it a go to see if it works
Can't delete the post?????
The image wasn't any better.

If so just re-write with blk ........................not actually re-writing just trace over it on
a new layer, then merge and flatten,

Unless the partial image of the child or the woman walking is important to the total image, just crop them out. Here's what I did:
1. Select > all
2. Edit > transform > perspective
3. Grab the corner of the image and spread it until the perspective seems correct
4. Rotate image 1.5 degrees clockwise
5. Crop image to edges of marquee
6. Image > adjustments > shadows highlights - reduce shadow % to 0 and increase highlight % until it looks good
7. Image > adjustments > curves - select area near writing and decrease until it looks good
The writing is more legible on my monitor and there seems like more emphasis is placed on the marquee
Here's a couple of minutes play - anyone who actually has some patience could do a much better job.
Cheers!
