I swear 'They' wait for me to do some modifications to bring the system.
No system update explaining why system is in read mode *again*
Upgrades and system improvements are all well and good. But someone should show these people how to do proper testing before going live.
Not feeling like a happy camper this evening.:bluduh

We're sorry that we had an issue that caused us to use read-only mode. We did post on our Status Blog: http://status.blogs.smugmug.com/
The problem is resolved, I'm very sorry for the hassle.

These outages are becoming much more frequent in the last few months. Or so it seems. Their frequency adds to the feeling of frustration .
In any case, I do appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

Think the poor little hamsters are overloaded this morning Multiple upload failures, images taking 10 mins to process when I do manage to get one up.
Ah ... upload fails again .. error 500 or some such from LR3's latest Smugmug plugin.
I'll try again when the little workers have had breakfast.
UPDATE:
Ok, been 45 mins and images still not processed. Hamsters are on strike I guess.

TIA for any input.
@Glib - we're entering our 9th year soon and our record of performance is rather excellent. Things happen from time to time - we do our best to fix things fast and we usually do. It's not normal to have this happening repeatedly, no.

Smugmug outages and downtime percentages can be and are debated. What I can say from my perspective is that the good, by far, outweighs the bad. I'd also say it's safe to sign up, because if Smugmug stagnated in development right now, it would probably take the competition your year to catch up in features.
Take it from a complainer, stay.
Malte
Thanks again.
