Nice competition....but to be absolutely truthful, there really was NO competion to the "Lilly Girl". She deserved her win!!!
I guess it was those eyes...but the composition was equally wonderful.

'smatter o' fact...I think that pic is good enough for entry into a national contest...and I hope she does enter it! It seems to have all the attibutes of a memorable photo, and that's what it's all about.
Oh my! I just took a peak here again and wow! You all sure know how to make a girl feel good about winning a round here. And Alaskan Rover, that is one of the sweetest things I've ever heard about anything I've ever created....it's extra sweet because the child is my daughter and the lilies are from my garden....family, garden and photography: my greatest passions combined.
Personally, I felt there quite a few strong entrants in this round. I think the Dgrin competitions are an excellent way to grow. This was my 5th round entered and in each round, even if I didn't place, I have had fun, been truly challenged, learned quite a bit from the other competitors, and felt like the experience was positively constructive for all competitors.
