Those are great pics. Last time I was shooting trials, I couldn't get that close. Spotters seemed to always be in the way.

A nice series of shots. I love the wide angle shot in #2 but struggle with the odd angles of the bike's rear wheel. Maybe crop the rear wheel out?
The third is a great idea that would be made better by stopping down to f/22 to help create a nice little star on the wheel.

Thanks for the comments guys! I like 3 a lot. I think it worked as I planned it. I wanted to go for the silhouette effect and get lots of sunburst pointing directly at the sun. I shot it with my new to me Nikon Fisheye. I am finding that it has a very good starburst effect when shot into bright light. To me this adds to the cool factor on this lens.

#2 was also with the fisheye. And yes, it is bent like crazy. That is what I like about it too. :D And what I was going for with it. If I were going for straight lines and normal perspectives I would have used my 17-55. The fisheye is tough to use for this stuff because it is so wide. You need to be really close to the action. I was about 2ft back from the point of contact on the rock and leaning right against it. So you need to trust the person you are taking pictures of.

When sorting photos #1 caught my eye. That kid is focused! It just isn't spectacular from an excitement standpoint. But for a little kid. That terrain was pretty extreme.

Great shots and I'm jealous. I ride and shoot some trials, but most of our sections are deep in the timber and tough to get clear shots like you can.
