video uploading causes internet disconnection?

For the last two days I've tried uploading videos and failed. Oddly, I see that shortly after clicking to upload, my internet connection is lost. I've tested this by waiting for reconnection, then working on the computer as usual, where I stay connected. So I try again, begin upload, and within 10-15 seconds, boom, disconnect and upload fails. I just barely managed to get two photographs to upload, so I haven't yet tried uploading, say, 30 photos, to see what would happen. I tried with Olde Faithful and Simple, about 30 times altogether over two days.

I'm on a Lenovo laptop, Comcast cable, Windows XP Professional.

Comcast sees nothing wrong, they did verify the disconnect, however, and asked me if SmugMug works with dynamic IP addresses. I have assumed so, but is that a problem? I've been uploading for about a year or more without this kind of problem, although recently I did change cable boxes because I replaced my old tube TV. Comcast, however, says I have always had a dynamic IP address. I'm at a loss as to what to do. Thanks.

We don't 'do' anything to your internet connection, we just use it. The mere act of uploading can't cause the connection to be killed. I suspect something else. Please write our Support Heroes with details and we'll have you do some diagnositics.
