Comment on Blown Highlights, Background

I would appreciate comments regarding blowing out the highlights in these two, particularly around Tara's face in #1.
NOTE: This was the look I was going for, but did I over do it?

    Personally, I think you went a little too far with these especially #1

    #1 The lost highlights make it look like part of her head is missing. To me that is very disturbing visually.
    #2 T he overblown highlights are up in the hair so isn't as bad for me but I would clone out the stray hair across her forehead. I also wished she would have done something different with her hands.

    Mike J - Thanks for your thoughts...........I was thinking the same thing.....overdone, and have to watch the positioning.

    Black and white, decrease contrast.
    Play with black point just a bit....sharpen them.
    You can probably make them work.
