Mid-Ohio vintage racing pictures

Hey all. Spent some time last weekend at Mid-Ohio for a vintage race. Wanted to share just a few here with you. All were taken from spectator locations (no photo pass) with a 40D and a 24-70/2.8, 70-200/2.8 (with and without 1.4TC). Enjoy.

A few sample black and whites from the gallery linked above. I'm starting to really like black and white transformations. There's so much more to it than meets the eye. Custom channel mixing, pushing contrast and shadow sliders to points you never would for a color print, its a whole new way to approach post processing.

Thanks everyone! It was a great time with my dad and brother-in-law, great weather, great racing. I ended up making a 70-page photo book of the weekend, just over half of it in black and white. They will be presents for my dad and brother-in-law, plus one copy for me.
