I like the anticipation in #1, the tonal range in #2…

    …and I'm still having a think about #3 headscratch.gif

I think I really like this type of picture (#1): it's really difficult to anticipate exactly what you're going to end up with as you're capturing such a fleeting moment; there many faces in this picture, and each one is different, and totally unaware of the camera. It's totally un-posed, and you're seeing the reality of each face.

OK, they're all looking in the same direction with that similar look of expectancy, but they're each different in their own way (reminds me of Bruegel, as I've mentioned before)

I like the fact that it's in focus also… :D

For me, #1 is the hands down winner. There is so much life in the picture I feel as though the crowd is alive and moving right before my eyes. And a simply wonderful capture of life underground.

I think I recognize someone in #2 but can't figure out how you took the picture. Like it a lot, though.

Really like the framing in #3. You practice what you preach!

Hope your weekend class went well.

Thanks, Virgina. No mystery to #2 - it's just a straight-on shot. Or do you mean how did I avoid getting killed? :-) As to the class, right now my five students are going through the zillions of images they shot yesterday to create their 20-30 image July 4th In Boston stories. :-)
