Coolpix 8700 users: MC-EU1 remote?

Hi, I have the Coolpix 8700 and am looking for a remote, I came across the MC-EU1....many sites list it as an "accessory" that is compatible with the 8700, but other sites don't, I just wanted to double check that it will work with the 8700.

Also, for anyone who owns this remote, what do you think? I searched the forum but found no threads on it. Thanks!
