There are numerous threads on this subject but I am still not clear about file sizes. I am using a D3 and a D90 and my converted jpg's are huge. I will not be selling any prints as this gallery is for my personal/family/friends use as of now. So my question is what size images should I upload (Please advice in xxxx*xxxx). Should I compress the files ?

Don't change the pixel resolution. Do feel free to use JPG 10 in photoshop, or LR 90 in Lightroom for compression. Our supported files and file sizes: http://www.smugmug.com/help/upload-photos

I have started uploading 300res pictures in full size. But in journal mode the pics look very small, any reason why ? Also is there any way to rename the files once uploaded, using any other software maybe ?
