I have been noticing lately that my galleries load extremely slow, and sometimes some of the thumbnails don't load at all.

Anyone with any idea on whats wrong and how I can fix it?

I quite often get the whole page to load with no thumbs or main photo.
Clearing cache immediately loads the thumbs/photo. Seems like it's hung
on cdn link. If I don't do this it takes at least 30 seconds for anything to show.

Yeah, I have notice a big decline in purchases and have just had two people email me saying they wanted to buy a photo, but when they go back to the photo, it won't load... I am afraid this is starting to affect my sales.

This, no thumbs or photo showing happens quite frequently. I think it's only
when returning from a tools page like captions/keywords or gallery settings.
So retuning from cart could also be triggering it.
As I said, deleting cache immediately shows photos. Reload/refresh or
cntl-F5 does nothing to show images.
Just happened again, hung on "read cdn.smugmug.com".

Logged in
tools > set prices (no changes)
so clicked gallery link at top
back to gallery, no images, hung on "read cdn.smugmug.com"
also not showing page logged in
1.5 minutes later still no images.
FF tools > option > Advanced > network > clear now
page immediately loads photos
reload page twice before logged in page shows
I also get this a lot, returning to gallery from tool pages and "logged in"
page does not show without reloading a couple times.

btw, only use Firefox
