a resident crab spider welcomes prey to her lair. very clever girl with the blind/hide. I didn't watch her make it, but she had one on almost every flower in her vicinity. many tiny bees fall into her clutches (dig the little spines on her grab legs). not the best shot ever, but she's also a very wary girl and if she sees my looming presence, shoots under the flower and will not pose.

Wonderful shot- love the light and colour. Would love to find one of these colour changing flower crab spiders (Don't seem to get them in my garden).
BTW think she's already spotted you - that's a classic threat pose .
