Alright, so I shoot mostly barrel races and other horse events and have been doing pretty good money wise at them. I bought a used alien bee b800 with a soft box at the begining of the year for a very good price. It has served me well and I have absolutely nothing wrong with it . I have also been thinking about getting some more. So I was looking on craigslist (always a problem) and I found some photogenic powerlights 1250 for 250 each. I think this is the model

I know that photogenic is the bomb for lighting. Am I better off selling my bee and going for the photogenic (and more power) or staying put with the bees.

Than the comparable Buff product could ever offer me........that Photogenic is used maybe abused and it is one craigslist,
I do not trust craigslist items or the sellers.....too much locally has been stolen goods........I would spend a bit more for Buff Lighting( Alien Bees, White Lightning, Zeus.....) but then I have been using Buff products for over 25 yrs........good luck.
Thanks for replying. I think you are right. Does the photogenic really give me that much more of a advantage then the bees, especially for what I do. Not really. I guess I just needed to hear if from some one else. As for craigslist, I use it all the time and I think the photogenics where being advertised by some sort of shop. To each his own.
