I've waited... saved... waited some more... FINALLY, I got my 7d. Stayed home from work today to greet the mail man... I know, I should be fired. Anyway, opened the box, plugged in the battery to charge and promptly puked! I'm SO excited I can't stand it! I hope to be posting within a few days!!!

:bow (Me to my 7d)!!!!
Blessings,
Marjohn

Congratulations on the new camera but I must remind you that it is just a "thing". It is an awfully nice thing to be sure. clap.gif

    Gotta second this:

Congrats on the camera! Nice toy to be sure.

But, it's only a thing. It's performance is not going to be influenced by your emotional state. :D

Therapy may be needed here! Save the nerve for something really important - like a new relationship with a person - now that gets me really, really shaky!

oh but it will. emotional state = motivation = improvement.

One's emotional state may, in fact, influece the performance of the photographer, but not that of the camera. That's all I was saying.

I have to agree with EVERYONE!

Yes, it's just a "thing"---but, it's a thing that gets me excited!!! (My husband compares it to men driving Ferrari's, or whatever their dream car may be).

Excitement equals an even greater desire to get out and shoot! True, "IT'S" performance will not be influenced by my emotional state, but you're right, MINE will!!! Richy, I understand the "wee" issue!!!

    Practice = better photos

Better photos = desire for more toys!!!

Regardless, I'm loving the camera! Still somewhat intimidated, but know that practice will wain this emotion.

I took it to my child's swim meet and played like crazy. Here's one fun shot that was taken from two balconies up!!!

Congrats on the new camera but the most important thing you can do is to read, did I say read, the manual. It will do some cool things but you gotta read the manual to find out exactly what it will do.

I'll add my congrats to your new 7D...you'll love it! :D

I took a glance at your site and found some nice pics. One recommendation is to remove access to the original size photos, especially if you're doing any selling off of your site. You don't want people having access to the full resolution pics.

I can't say I have ever actually puked, but I did get that nauseous feeling after paying for my 300 2.8. It is my most expensive piece of equipment to date. Congratulations and have fun practicing and practicing.
