Desert Mountains

Here are a few shots...I find it very difficult to get mountains in the desert. The sun was setting and it was going fast. I didn't have much time and still had to get to the top of this hill. Now, the monsoon is bringing in exciting clouds so it might help with the boring skies and saturate all the more our famous reds. Suggestions are appreciated for the mountains.

Thank you - it was peaceful!
They are extremely tall. It's rare to be at eye level with one.:D

Photographing mountains is always a challenge for me. My natural inclination is to try to capture the grand vista. But invariably, by focusing on an individual peak or some interesting aspect of the terrain I end up with more captivating images. I guess that's why I like your second and third shots in this set.
Thanks for posting.

I wish I was half the man that my dog thinks I am...
the often wanted clouds in a particular scene. I think finding a way to
enrich the blue is all it may need for the higher impact. PP grad or burn
then saturate blue. Or color balance increase blue some just to see. Or all
of the above ever so slightly again just to see if it riches up. These are
some of the simpler things I would look at trying. Its a fine image as are
the others. Hope how ever you do it that it works for you to your
liking.
