Local College Gallery submissions

I am looking to submit three works to a local gallery show and a small state college. The theme is "In Between" .
In-Between seeks submissions of artwork that combines one or more media or conceptually imagines in-between spaces, time, or identity. Assemblage, collage, sculpture combined with painting and drawing, photography combined with installations, or found objects combined with painting, drawing, or sculpture are just some of the possibilities. Artworks that think about space, time, or in-between sites may also reflect states of in-between.

Two of my choices are from my Alternative Views Galleries:

1)Pond Side Elf Shelter

2)Birch Bark Holster

And an HDR image:
3)AC worm hole HDR

What do you all think of my choices and chances?

C&C welcome.

    Hi Don,

Without a detailed critique, I'd vote this way:

    #1 No #2 Maybe #3 Definitely

As with most any criteria established by folks asking for submissions, their's is open to a fairly wide range of interpretation. I like #2 but I'm uncertain that it fits their parameters.

Thank you Tom. That is just the sort of thing I want to hear.

    Nice job, Don!

    Love #3 & #4! Great stuff!

My personal view is that pics shouldn't need titles; IMNSHO if it needs explanation, then it hasn't worked (…don't really want to bring up the "Title/No Title" argument, but that's how I feel ne_nau.gif)

Love #4 - that texture is gorgeous! …like an aerial view of some remote island in the South Pacific!

    Thanks for sharing!

#4 Absolutely #5 I'm not sure. I had mixed emotions about that one when you first posted it. It sure meets their theme though.

    Howdy Don,

#3 is my pick out of them all, I keep thinking about a Title of the "The Portal to the Underworld" or something like that.

    Good Luck, and Happy 4th!!!
    Take care,
