An Unofficial College Graduation Tradition

Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington consistently ranks among the top public liberal arts colleges in the country but Evergreen does everything on its own terms and its unofficial graduation tradition is no exception. Started some 31 or 32 years ago by some friends of mine who weren't into tearing down goal posts or stealing mascots, the grueling clothing-optional 500-meter race across the mud flats of Mud Bay on the day of graduation is an out-of-the-box idea that has survived the intervening decades. It does seem appropriate they can't quite remember when they started the tradition.

A short little essay HERE (warning, some nudity).

for your next being there. The Bw's fly for me quite neatly. I think they
    are just the perfect thing.

    Neat shots...
Documents an unusual event quite well. I just realized that I graduated from the wrong university...
