Fireworks.. Yes, you can be too close...

Shot some fireworks at Foster City CA. This town has man made lagoons and a high pressure system had me hoping for still water.
I checked out the site the day before and they didn't have a barge in the water, so I had to guess where the 'works launch point was. I guessed wrong. I was right under them; my cam was almost at 90 degrees - I couldn't see thru my viewfinder. I shot most at 24mm & there were still many outside my frame.
At that angle I couldn't get any reflection off the water.. Dam, dam (whine, whine.. ). Here are a couple for sh**** & giggles:
