Ladybird on the Queen Elizabeth

Not her royal highness of course, but one of the few rose bushes in my garden.

This rose bush is the same variety that was my mum's favourite in her rose garden long ago before she passed away and the QE was one of her pride and joys in the rose bed.

Like all roses, they are always susceptible to greenfly, though this summer so far, they have not been as abundant as last year.

Maybe the ladybirds are doing a better job, but I also seem to have seen fewer ladys this year too. Perhaps it is global warming...

Anyway, here is the image of the common 7 spot on the petal.
