Hello,

here is a portrait of Catherine which I have taken some time ago near Rutland Waters - Leicestershire UK. I have taken with me a huge softbox (with a flash - Bowens) and a portable power flash feeder. I have situated the light source on the side of Catherine - thats the result:

Everyone is talking about the texture - thank you for that. I have achieved this amount of detail on the textures with a very simple trick in Photoshop, here is how:
    - you have to open the image,
    - then you copy the background to a new layer - shortcut on mac -(cmd+j)
    - select the new layer and apply High Pass Filter from the filter menu - apply only small amount - only to make the texture stand out (now your image will look very grey)
    - now you have to desaturate the layer - you can do this from the menu or by pressing a shortcut on a mac - (cmd+u)
    - and now you have to change the blending mode of the layer to OVERLAY
    - and this is your special sharpening of textures finished YEEEEE,
    - I usually apply mask to the layer so that I can apply the effect only on textures like fabric etc. because on the skin it does not look very good:)

Now you know my secret! Do not tell anybody :)

Gorgeous. So much so that I feel rather small nitpicking about the hair across her right eye.

Amazing shot. The only thing I keep staring at is the reflection from the glossy bracelet making her hand look a little plastic. I personally love the hair across her eye... maybe it is just an interesting anomaly or something.

Thank you. The reflection is normal, natural and I love it. It gives live to the image.
