Had the great fortune of making a village trip from Kotzebue to Point Hope, AK. I had missed the breakup of the arctic ice in Kotzebue earlier this year, but the ice was still present during the hour trip northward. It was a view I had not seen, and the differing patterns were absolutely amazing. I even had a greater fortune of arriving right at the time of the annual whaling festival when I arrived...
