LR3 - colour codes not exporting/importing

I'm working on a catalogue (e.g. Simon Kim Wedding) which is stored on a external hdd. I work on these at home on lr3, then when I load into lre at work, everything comes up perfect (exactly where I'm up to, files, flags etc. )BUT not the colour codes I've set e.g. 6=red/select 8=green/done. Is this a LR3 error or am I doing something wrong?
