Yellow Themed Desert Sunset

Yellow seemed to be the theme during the sunset this particular evening. It went all too quick.
Before the sunset the dove enjoyed some fruit in the 110 degrees...there is life in the desert even then... (couldn't get any closer)
CC appreciated for the landscape pic..

All 3 are nice. Sweet color to each and neat DOF for image 1.
Had to really look at image 2. Wasn't quite sure I was seeing those light
beams coming across just above the brush. Very cool in the capture.
Little dust in the air as it probably wasn't from moisture. :D Also really like
the silhouettes against the excellent color at the horizon line. Especially to the right.
Thats another picture all by itself I think. Nice capture. thumb.gif

Nice captures Eia. I love how back lit cholla captures the golden light. That's my favorite.

The sunset behind the ridge has fantastic light. The one thing that I noticed that detracted from the image in my mind was it seems the plants along the ridge are little soft and not sharply focused. You may have intended that for the effect though. thumb.gif

Thank you very much for pointing out the soft focus; I didn't intend that! :D Here's a re-work - hope its better:

I'm also viewing this on my laptop screen with old eyes so take my input with a large grain of salt. :D

The redo does appear to me to have a bit more clarity. I like it.

Beautiful series, Eia. I am captivated by the light in #1 and I keep going back to it--lovely image!! I like #2 for the yellow tones. I also like the curve of the hill, but I think there is too much dark foliage at the bottom. Perhaps you could crop some of the darkest part off? I'm curious what others will say as they look at this thread.

Nice capture of the dove too.

Thanks Lauren, I'll play with the crop and see if it makes a better difference ...

Great composition and capture of the light, particularly in the 2nd shot. I really like how the sun's light comes across the foreground. Well done!

I love the first image Eia, I know that wasn't easy to expose given the back lighting. Very nice!
