La Jolla Cove Mega-Mix

Back in mid-June, I was left to entertain myself for almost 2 weeks as my girlfriend took a trip to Italy. Luckily for me, many of those nights featured a high-tide right at sunset so I shot over to La Jolla Cove as many times as I could for some good photo ops. Unfortunately, many of the nights lacked a sunset as the marine layer set in, but I did catch one sunset that yielded quite a few decent shots and I managed to catch some details shots on the other nights. (Last photo of the night with the good sunset was previously posted here)

More ramblings specific to each photo can be found on my website: www.chrisskopec.com

8| Twilight 2 Black & White (I'm not completely sold on this conversion and may rework it again but I do like that it brings more attention to the rock formations than the color in the sky)

C&C always welcome! And yes, there are still a few more to come, but I couldn't resist posting any longer! :D

Good stuff. Some day that'll probably be some sort of cultural park to protect the cryptograms in the foreground...

Thank you all for the compliments! :D

Dan (NorthernFocus), you're probably right! The shores down here are littered with those cryptograms as more of the coastal rocks are soft sandstone. If the waves don't erase them first, I could definitely see a future culture looking upon them in much the same way we look at things like Newspaper Rock today.
