I've been reading about Topaz Labs and Nik Software products and was just curious what people use.

No doubt this has been discussed before, so if there's an existing discussion thread please just let me know and I'll read it (of course I'll be really embarrassed if it's one I started and forgot about :D).

Thanks.

NIKs plugins are topnotch...can't go wrong. There is a reason they are not cheap.

Ric, are you using the PS or LR plugin? Or both?

Short of where you use them, the results are the same. The LR plug-ins do not operate on raw data or within the raw processing pipeline. A TIFF is created and the plug-ins work on that rendered data, just as if you exported the data to Photoshop and ran the plug-in within that host. Its important to point out that, short of saving a few seconds moving from app to app, all LR plug-ins operate this way.

    PS CS5

In order of usefulness for what I do:

Color Efex Pro (you need a powerful machine for some of these adjustments)

    Dfine

    Viveza

    Silver Efex Pro

    Sharpener Pro
