I stayed out of the way for the most part. I did try to get a lot of detail shots.

1. ring shot..yeah I know it's centered but I like it that way.

Great images! I had to play "count the videographers" in that ceremony shot, though. And short sleeves, WOW. I hope they weren't paid professionals...

love this idea! are those pink shoe laces?

great shots - love the aerial view. And the shots from the hip are impressive for not seeing what you were focusing on.

Really? I wear short sleeves in the summer which is 90% of the weddings I shoot. Sometimes form follows function my friend!!! Of course that is a little different in Wisco where we only get a few months of the hot stuff and it is perfectly acceptable around here. I've even shot black tie weddings in short sleeves and nobody batted an eye. When they see me running around and laying on the floor they know what's up.

    Quark,
These are nice shots and it is obvious you were transparent shooting them. Good job Uncle Bob'n! I agree the bounce in those last couple looks great. I love the details of the ring and cupcakes. The bass head is another story though. The "squire" line from fender is the equivalent of a rebel with kit glass. You should have blurred squire and left jazz bass in focus. Ha Ha, joking of course but I'm more stunned by a pro musician playing a $200 student level bass than Matt is by the videographers showing some arm skin.

I love that the chucks are getting popular again. all the rocket science in the world is thrown at shoe designs and the fact that chucks are made basically the same as they were in the 60's is a great testament to the overkill the fashion industry has crammed down our throats.

man I always love your work. It makes me dance even closer to the fence of jumping to full frame. I think one more lens should be in order and then make the jump. Was this Vancouver, BC or Vancouver, WA? Either way you were in my neck of the woods! Great job again!

haha ya the only reason I know it is there is becaue family lives there. That is an interesting idea. I will have to honestly consider selling the bodies and moving up. How much did you pay for your D700?

$2300. the AF on the d700 is dream..the 51 points and speed/accuracy is well worth it and reason enough if you are shooting for clients

Well I guess if I make some money this year from shooting as a second at some weddings and maybe I will consider it. We are trying to save money because I am looking at getting out of the military soon if I can. Not much of a military guy anymore.

and there is the ISO... the best full frame iso performance of anything on the planet. I don't think twice about shooting 3200 and on occasion shoot at 6400 with no real issues as long I am am paying a little more attention to correct exposure. Combined with the new NR on LR3 even slightly to mildly noisy shots at 6400 can easily be corrected.
