Red-Tailed Bumble dining on Ragwort

This evening after getting home from work, my lass took me across to the ragwort that grows in profusion at the end of the street to show me the abundant cinnabar caterpillars that inhabit the wild flowers.

I intend to get a few shots of these tiger coloured caterpillars soon enough, but they'll be there a while yet, however, the red-tailed bumble that was also there, will have gone by the time tea was ready, so this took my immediate attention.

I have a couple or maybe a few more of it more generally, but once I had put the extension tubes onto the macro lens the detail came into it's own, and I got this nice and tidy close up of it having it's evening meal.

You'll have to forgive me the use of the ringflash, it was overcast and trying to rain, so light levels were very low.

C&C as always appreciated.
