Without trying to start trouble, can anybody honestly tell me the differences between smugmug and winkflash?

Thanks!

    smugmug features
    i've never used winkflash but here are some things that smugmug does -

    * three levels of accounts - standard, power, and pro
    * never any ads or spam
    * no registration for your viewers to see photos
    * help forum, photography forum
    * rss feeds, atom feeds
    * unlimited storage of photos - no limit!
    * easy to set up galleries, categories, etc
    * custom categories
    * keywords
    * you can store, show, and share video clips
    * customization - you can make your site look however you like!
    * google maps integrated - see this gallery and click "map this"
    * integrated printing, prints and gifts
    * custom pro pricing - set your own prices for print sales

    gosh there's so much more, but these are some that come off the top of my head.

    good luck in your decision

    Karen,
    Just look at the two sites. Winkflash does not look too bad for a free site, but you get what you pay for with them, basic online photo albums.
    Sugmug is so much more. You get your own page even with a basic account. For friends and faimly there are not ads to see, no sign in (unless you want that) Its clean and easy to navigate. The Smugmug staff have been adding new features almost continually and are a really dedicated bunch. If you venture into the higher level acocunts you can customize your pages.
    Open a trial account here and test it out for a week to see if SM is right for you.

    My wife has used Winkflash to make prints. In my opinion, too inconsistent! Some batch of prints comes out too bright and some too dark (even if we reprint the same 8mpixel digital photo).
    Also, I was never aware of their share feature, it must be new.
