I have been asked to take a large group photo of 160+ people in a few weeks. The plan is to either take the photo in a grassy area with trees as the background or use our local football stadium bleachers. Placement is looking like 15-20 people per row and to shoot at an elevated position (tall ladder). Does anyone have any other suggestions or comments that would help make this shoot turn out without a hitch?

Lots of light to get a good depth of field. Remember on your area of a photo where you focus there is a range that will be focus. Your depth of field scale will tell you what it is. At that point where you are focusing in the range 1/3 in front of that point and 2/3 behind that point will be in focus. Try to focus on the second row.
