The second works better for me. What is on those screens? I kind of like the digital look contrasted with the heads above--very Bay Area. I don't know what I'm supposed to be looking at in the first. The text in the lower right doesn't seem to be connected to the rest.
My Equipment: * Nikon D200 + Grip * Nikon 12-24mm f/4 AF-S DX, 50mm f/1.4 AF D * Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8D VR G-AFS ED-IF * 190XPROB Manfrotto Tripod & Cullmann 40300 Magnesit 3-Way Head Large * I use DXO Optics Pro and Film Pack for all processing, no CS involved!

I wish there for more detail.
The people in the picture are too dark and grainy.
The screens are LCD TVs showing a soccer match (pre World Cup). It was the combination of the heads and TVs that caught my attention.
The first is a "mood" shot. Many bars are actually sad, lonely locales. Here the text is contradicted by the empty table of abandoned drinks. The faces are deliberately dark/silhouetted to facilitate the mood. BUT if I have to explain it, it probably doesn't connect with the viewer. But, then again, I like it...
