just tried to get as close as possible with my current setup,
a 100mm 1:1 macro lens, raynox dcr250 (8xdiopter) and dcr150 (4xdiopter) stacked , tc1.4 giving something around 3.5:1 macro (took a picture of a ruler to figure that out)
then a flower from a hollyhock, and a flash diffused by one of the flower petals.
I couldn't really see when what was in focus, so I took a lot of shots turning the focus ring 1° for each.
Then took out those that where in the focus range I wanted and stacked them (photoshop cs5).
maybe I can still add a small extention tube to get closer, but I guess I'm at the limit of my current setup.
Any help on getting closer / better / any C&C always welcome
