Another massive one. Be prepared for the blog post!

One of the most down to earth couple that I have met. Seriously nice and warm! It makes me appreciate the opportunities I get photographing weddings- meeting really nice people. Of course the flip side would be detrimentally bad for me if I met a couplezilla.

I am going to post a few highlights. Beware of the bubble bath. I had too many hiccups with this one. From lens deciding go manual with the focus to recharged batteries not wanting to work with me. But ... Whew!

Right about now would have been nice to have the 16-35. I only had my 24L. If I stepped one step back I would have fallen off the roof. Literally. I hopped over the guard rail.

I let my couples know that I am a guerrilla photographer (ninja shooting). That was actually coined by Alyssa (from when I was shooting with Pat at St. John.) It is my own personality rubbing off in the ways I shoot. I don't like being seen, very often, and like doing things in the background. :)

They know how to get me when they need me though.

    Thanks Qarik + Lynne! :D:D

Nice Ted!!! I much prefer how you handled your foregrounds in this set to the last one I saw from you. 1 is delish... great capture and nice use of the neg space... textbook really! 2 I'm not digging the skin tones or her squished up nose. 4 is awesome. it is so hard to get really cool guy getting ready shots and this is cool for sure. I would have this one in my portfolio already. 5 and 6 both have really nice perspective and I like them both. 8 is great but the glare on his head is a bit distracting for me. A great guerrilla moment though for sure. 11 just looks fried to me but 12 is spectacular with the diffused processing... I like that a lot! The last one shooting through the wrought iron is masterful... how long did you have to wait there before you were able to get quality cleavage between the railing? Oh wait... maybe you were shooting the groom! Ha! Nice shot either way!!!

I'm with you about the guerrilla shooting too... I far prefer shooting candids with long lenses from the outskirts of the room. Expressions get fake if they can see you and to my eye people almost always look their best when they are unaware of the camera. Well... you have to wait for the moment, but I'm sure you know what I am saying.

    Nice work Ted thumb.gif
