Large hoverflies

The first very large Volucella species hoverflies have appeared in the garden this week.
The Volucella zonaria photographs are quite difficult as they nearly always land and feed on these hebe flowers upside down. If they landed on the top, they are so heavy the flower would roll over and throw them off. All taken around 1:1 FF.
