Ron, you definitely need to do it! May is a great month to chase, but most of the storms are in OK and TX. You run into hoards of other people, and the landscape isn't all that great. If you wait to late June and early July, the storms generally move further north up in MT, WY, CO, ND and SD. Generally many less people, more isolated storms and beautiful scenery.
Truly stunning work!! These are much more attractive to view than watching the stormchasers on TV--the colors and emotion are amazing! Thanks for sharing your process too; the HDR is definitely realistic and not overdone.

Again, thank you very much folks. I really do appreciate all of your comments. It gives me more drive to get out there and shoot!

They really are awesome and the processing is just amazing. VERY nice work!!!
I figured I would share this image with ya that I took just a couple nights ago. I posted it in another thread but I thought it was appropriate and you may have missed it! It's NOTHING at all like yours though but still a fun pic!

Very cool! Love the stars in the image. I've always wanted to try and get star trails and a good storm in the same picture. How cool would that be?

Thanks!
I think that would be an totally AWESOME shot! Especially with someone of your skills! I think there would have to be some good timing and a little luck in order to pull it off though. Put it on your list of shots to do though!!! Come back and share your attempts for sure. Your shots and processing are simply amazing!

Wow!!
I definitely don't want to be painting the top of a flagpole in the midwest between May and September.

! I have to admit that I had to think about this for a while before I got it.
I'm not sure that standing out in a field with a large metal tripod is a good thing either!
Thanks Schmoo!
