Clicking on an image in blogger and having it open up in a new tab?

Hello all,

Been QUITE a while since I've been here and I'm debating coming back to Smugmug (only because Photobucket is beyond frustrating!)

My quandry:

I'd like to embed a photo from my Smugmug gallery (I know how to do this) into my Blogger blog.

When a viewer clicks on the image to make it larger, I'd like to have it open up to a new tab (or window) rather than direct him/her to my Smugmug gallery in the existing tab.

Am I making sense?

This way, he/she can just close that tab/window to get back to my blogger blog, rather than using the back button on his/her browser.

I hope I'm making sense. LOL!

Any help/advice you can provide is appreciated. Thanks much!

Change your <href= statement to include the parameter _target=blank.

A comment though - I personally think this is poor browser behavior. If a site opens extra tabs or browser windows I usually close the site and try not to return. In addition, if someone is viewing your blog and that person is not particularly browser-literate, they may not realize that if they close the window they will again see your blog.
